INDONESIA: DHL airfreight grows 30%
The airfreight division of DHL Global Forwarding Indonesia has grown nearly 30 per cent in the last few years to over 360 tonnes monthly. German mail and logistics group Deutsche Post and Lufthansa Cargo have announced the creation of a new 50:50 joint venture cargo carrier focusing on transporting air freight and express shipments into and out of Asia. DHL to transfer centres to Bahrain
DHL has decided to transfer two of its main aviation services centres from Africa and Europe to Bahrain. Operations of its Harare and Brussels centres would be merged and shifted to Bahrain to serve the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe segments.
