Wolfgang Schmid, vp sales & marketing of EFW, announced the launch of the 14P configuration for the A321 Passenger to Freighter (P2F) conversion. The announcement was made during Cargo Facts Asia 2017, which was held in Shanghai. Airbus wins US$57B orders at Paris Air Show
During the 2015 Paris Air Show, Airbus won US$57 billion worth of business for a total of 421 aircraft. The deals comprise firm orders for 124 aircraft worth US$16.3 billion and commitments for 297 aircraft worth US$40.7 billion. Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd (ST Aerospace) has signed agreements with Airbus and Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW) for a collaboration to launch the A320/A321 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion programme. “There is a lot of market demand for mid-sized regional cargo aircraft with 30 to 60 tons of payload in the mid and long-term,” confirms Andreas Sperl, managing director of the Dresden-based EADS subsidiary.
