New linked canopies offer extra protection to cargoes
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has completed the construction of three external canopies at the northeastern corner of SuperTerminal 1. The three linked canopies cover 2,192 square metres in total and can simultaneously accommodate air cargoes for two 747-freighters under shelter, with enhanced protection against adverse weather. HK air cargo shows modest improvement
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has released its throughput figures for May showing an 18.6 per cent decline in throughput year-on-year to 177,980 tonnes which represents a modest improvement over April’s 22.5 per cent year-on-year decline to 174,809 tonnes. Cumulative tonnage for the first five months of the year was 815,803 tonnes, down 23 per cent compared with the same period last year. HK's cargo volumes continue to slide
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) said it handled a total of 133,624 tonnes of cargo in February, down 22 per cent year-on-year. Import volume for February was 38,587 tonnes, down 20 per cent against February last year while exports were down 25.3 per cent year-on-year for a total of 64,546 tonnes.
