IAG, Qatar extend capacity partnership
IAG Cargo has announced a significant extension of its capacity partnership with Qatar Airways, one year on from the signing of their landmark freighter deal. IAG Cargo will see capacity rise with B787-9
IAG Cargo will begin cargo services with its new B787-9 Dreamliner this October, five times weekly on the London Heathrow-Delhi route. With belly-hold capacity of seven pallets and 16 tonnes of lift, the new aircraft will offer 17 per cent more capacity than the B747 it is replacing on this route. IAG Cargo returns to Kuala Lumpur after 14 years
IAG Cargo has seen sharply increased volumes both in and out of its just-opened Kuala Lumpur service, John Cheetham, regional commercial manager for Asia Pacific and India told reporters in Kuala Lumpur on 3 July. “Performance has exceeded expectations” Cheetham said. IAG Cargo has opened its newest bellyhold route, operating between London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur with up to 15 tonnes of cargo capacity per daily flight.
