Food and gateway services provider SATS is set to buy Thai food company Food City for US$15.9 million ($21 million), the company announced in a press release this week. Kuehne+Nagel to buy Asian forwarder Apex International
Kuehne+Nagel is set to expand its footprint in Asia Pacific after it agreed to buy freight forwarder Apex International, which the Swiss company described as the “largest acquisition in its history.” In a press release, the two parties have agreed to not disclose any transaction details, but a Bloomberg report valued the purchase at US$1.5 billion. Parcel delivery firm SF Holding is set to acquire a majority stake of Kerry Logistics as it aims to improve its international logistics capacity in a proposed ‘strategic investment and cooperation’ between the two companies, a press release confirmed. DSV looks to boost e-commerce service with Prime Cargo purchase
DSV Panalpina is eyeing to ramp up its e-commerce game as the Danish company announced plans to acquire Prime Cargo, owned by Japanese logistics group Mitsui-Soko, including the forwarding company’s business in Denmark, Poland and China.
