SWISS has appointed Ashwin Bhat as its new head of cargo. He will assume his new duties on 1 October. Bhat, who is currently head of global area management at SWISS’s Swiss WorldCargo division, succeeds Oliver Evans, who has decided to step down from the post after some 13 years. Swiss WorldCargo to test drone deliveries
Drones will soon be used to deliver packages in Switzerland as part of a pilot project by Swiss Post. Tests are already underway in the US in a collaboration with Swiss WorldCargo, using drones by California manufacturer Matternet, a firm primarily focused on developing airborne options for health care in developing countries.
