SIA cargo load factors continue to slide in Aug
In August 2015, Singapore Airlines Cargo registered a cargo load factor (CLF) 1.8 percentage points lower than the same period a year earlier as cargo traffic (measured in freight-tonne-kilometres) declined 0.1 per cent to 520,300 FTK against capacity growth of 3.0 per cent. Scoot expands Asian network
Scoot, the Singapore-based long-haul, low-cost division of Singapore Airlines, has added two new Asian cities to its route map: Osaka and Kaohsiung. The carrier started flying to Osaka on 8 July with the B787 Dreamliner service running three times a week with a stop in Bangkok. SIA Cargo sees improving cargo traffic
Singapore Airlines (SIA) Cargo has reported a 5.2 per cent growth in overall cargo load factor (CLF) in February, year-on-year, as cargo traffic (measured in freight-tonne-kilometres) was 17.1 per cent higher against an overall capacity increase of 7.6 per cent. Total freight carried for the month rose 14.7 per cent y-o-y to 84,800 tonnes. WFS secures SIA cargo contract in UK
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has won a three-year contract to provide full cargo handling services for Singapore Airlines Cargo at London Heathrow and at all of its UK regional locations. The contract takes effect in January 2015 and will see WFS handle some 46,000 tonnes of cargo a year for the airline. Singapore Airlines Cargo has appointed CHEP Aerospace Solutions to maintain and repair its entire fleet of ULDs worldwide under an exclusive five-year agreement.
