Singapore Airlines’s low-cost carrier Scoot has named Leslie Thng as its incoming CEO effective 16 June 2022. Thng, who has been with the SIA Group for 23 years, was the CEO of Indian airline Vistara, a SIA-Tata Sons joint venture, between October 2017 and December 2021. Vistara, India’s full-service carrier and a joint venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, has signed a contract to partner with Airbus for their Flight Hour Services - Tailored Services Package (FHS-TSP). The contract will cover engineering and maintenance for 62 aircraft, including 23 existing ones. Vistara receives its first Airbus A320neo
Airbus delivered the first Airbus A320neo to Vistara- a Delhi based full service airline and joint venture between Tata Sons Ltd. and Singapore Airlines (SIA). The delivery marked the first of seven aircraft's to be leased from BOC Aviation. The aircraft sports a unique A320neo Vistara star symbol livery on its underbelly. AirAsia Group said to be considering merging Thai, Indonesian units
Malaysia’s AirAsia Group is said to be considering merging its Thai and Indonesia AirAsia affiliates into one company which would then be listed on both the Thai and Malaysian stock exchanges.
