Volga-Dnepr Airlines has renewed its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate for the fifth time. The certification audit process included compliance checks to meet 834 IOSA requirements and was conducted by representatives of Quali-audit (France). Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services has signed a B737-400 freighter conversion agreement with Russia based Volga-Dnepr Group. The 737-400 arrived at Boeing Shanghai at the end of November for the passenger-to-freighter conversion; a "C-check" - an extensive check of the airplane's systems and components that can require several days to perform; and full painting. Volga-Dnepr Gulf, Volga-Dnepr Technics’ subgroup branch in the Middle East, has successfully performed its first A-check on a B737-400 for the Slovenian airline SolinAir. A Volga-Dnepr Airlines’ An-124-100 freighter has transported a Sukhoi Superjet 100 fuselage as well as the aircraft’s wings and tail section from Komsomolsk-na-Amure in Khabarovsk krai to Zhukovsky, southeast of Moscow. The flight carried the detached airframe parts of an extended range and upgraded version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
