Global forwarding and logistics group Panalpina and its long-time airline partner Atlas Air have announced a renewal of their cooperation agreement under which Panalpina provides owncontrolled capacity between Europe, North America and Mexico and links the company’s oil and gas hubs. The ‘Dixie Jet’ service’s capacity is managed by Panalpina while the Boeing 747F freighter aircraft are operated by Atlas Air.
Panalpina and Atlas Air have been working together since the launch of the Dixie Jet service over 15 years ago. The five flights a week service connects Panalpina’s airfreight hubs in Luxembourg and Huntsville, Alabama and includes three flights weekly between Luxembourg and Huntsville and two flights from Luxembourg to Huntsville, Mexico, Huntsville and back to Luxembourg, with a stop-over in Prestwick, Scotland.
In Luxembourg, Panalpina offers a self-controlled connecting airfreight service to West Africa connecting the key oil and gas centres of Houston, Aberdeen, Moerdijk and West Africa.
