With the 13th Air FreightAsia Conference & Exhibition in HongKong around the corner, the organisers, including yours truly, have goneout of their way to find the right levelof entertainment for the hundreds ofdelegates who are expected to attendthis now annual event.
We believe we have finally foundan outstanding attraction in offeringdelegates flights around Hong Kong’sharbour and the Peak in a helicopter pilotedby one of our close friends fromPapua New Guinea (see above).
Some of you may remember hisbrother, who was flown in from PortMoresby for the Air Freight Asia showin Singapore in the late eighties by thethen cargo manager of Air Niugini.
We must admit, the fellow createdquite a stir when he came down in theelevator of the Pan Pacific hotel in histraditional garb to address the gatheringof air freight supremo’s.
Plans are now firming up to bringthis hawkeyed pilot to Hong Kong forAir Freight Asia, which as you all know, will be co-located with Asian AerospaceShow from 3-6 September.
Just that you know, Emirates,DNATA, Martinair, the Hong Kong AirportAuthority, AirBridgeCargo, ALS,World Airways, THAI Cargo, Nordisk,Cargolux and AmSafe Bridport havealready confirmed their presence atthe exhibition.
Time to register folks!! Otherwiseno more space and no helicopterflights!
