Siemens said it has won orders worth more than 16 million euros for the supply of baggage and cargo handling systems in the United Arab Emirates.

The Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services Group (I&S) has been awarded the contract for the equipment in three airports in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, and the Al Dhafra Airbase in Abu Dhabi. The projects cover the supply of baggage and cargo handling systems, as well as a range of services.

Siemens is building a state-of-the-art cargo centre, which has been designed for a throughput of 1.2 million tonnes of freight per year.
