Amidst the heated issue of safety and security at all Indonesian airports, Kijang Airport, which is managed by state-run airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II, recently held ground handling training for all staff and airport related individuals.
Manager of Kijang Airport, H. Basuki said that the training which was organised by Koperasi Griya Wiyata, the partner of AP II, is aimed at improving the skills of all staff.
“Since ground handling is pivotal to fl ight safety and security, all ground staff must know ground handling procedures and must be certifi ed according to the rules set by the Department of Transportation,” Basuki said.
The training includes dangerous goods, ground handling procedures, passenger handling, security awareness, weight & balance, and ramp handling. – Siktus Harson
