Lufthansa Cargo has opened its renovated offi ce and warehouse with a customer lounge for its clients, a live animal station and an enhanced security with closed circuit TV at Manila’s NinoAquino International Airport.
Darryl Modelo, country sales manager of Lufthansa Cargo Philippines said the renovated cargo warehouse is intendedbetter serve Philippine customers.
Mail boxes were also set up that would allow freight forwarders to have access with their documents 24 hours a day andseven days a week.
Located at the PAIR-PAGS Building, the Lufthansa Cargo warehouse is serving at least 60 local clients with a one-stop shop centre established in Cebu City in Central Philippines in partnership withPhilippine Airlines.
Cargoes from Cebu are directly transferred from PAL aircraft to Lufthansa aircraft in Manila on “seamless” process where the documentation is preparedin Cebu.
“This would allow faster processing time, move cargoes faster and save costs, thus, enhancing effi ciency,” said Modelo. Lufthansa had entirely outsourced its operations to a Philippine company, Airline Exchange Resources Online, Inc. (AERO).
