SriLankan Cargo has launched a twice weekly service to Jeddah. Perishable goods and construction-related cargo exporters in South Asia and the Far East now have access to a third Saudi Arabian city, with SriLankan Cargo starting theservice.
The first commercial flight from Colombo touched down at the King Abdulaziz International Airport on March 27. The Airbus A340 operating a commercial service, offers 13,500 kg or 96 cubic metres of cargo capacity to Jeddah. SriLankan Cargo head Nalin Rodrigo said: “Our strategy has always focused on giving maximum support to our cargo partners, creating new opportunities for them to send and receive their valuable cargo more frequently.”
