Thermo King said it has developed the Heat King unit, its latest product for the protection of temperaturesensitivecargo.

The Heat King unit is a forced air heating unit that works on the same basic principle as a car’s heating system. A Tier-II, diesel-powered engine heats liquid coolant in a radiator coil, while a powerful blower forces air across the coil and into the cargo area.

The result is safe, efficient, dependable heat inside the trailer or container, no matter how cold it gets outside, the company said.
