Japanese logistics provider Vantec World Transport Co., Ltd. (VWT) and its Belgian counterpart, ABX Logistics Worldwide, have signed an agency agreement regarding cooperation in international freight forwarding activities and supply chain solutions.

The deal will enable ABX Logistics to act as VWT’s partner worldwide in all countries where VWT is not represented, while VWT will represent ABX Logistics as its partner in Japan. Under the agreement, ABX Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. will co-operate with VWT locally.

In a statement, the companies said that the new partner agreement will offer customers of both organisations a valuable global logistics network by linking VWT’s particular strengths in Japan and ABX Logistics global footprint. It added that VWT and ABX Logistics will use their specific know-how to create together innovative supply chain solutions for existing customers and to develop jointly an increased customer portfolio.
