Goodrich Corp said it has been selected by Cathay Pacifi c Airways to provide advanced cargo systems for the Hong Kong carrier’s new fl eet of Boeing 747-400ERF freighters. The systems are designed to reduce overall downtime when system maintenance work is required, Charlotte-based Goodrich said in a statement.

The contract also includes next-generation Power Drive Units which will be integrated into the cargo systems to facilitate movement of shipments on board the aircraft, the statementadded.
