NWA Cargo said that a new feature, House Air Waybill (HAWB) templates, has been added to Cargo Portal Services (CPS), the airline’s online booking engine developed in cooperation with other major carriers. The HAWB templates allow CPS users to save information and then recall or update the data quickly for subsequent airshipments.
HAWBs contain more than two dozen pieces of information on individual shipments including shippers and consignee contacts, account numbers, carrier, routing and detailsof contents.
“Part of our strategy is to continually improve CPS for our customers to save them time while increasing accuracy,” said Jim Friedel, president, Northwest Airlines Cargo.
“The new HAWB template meets both of these customer requirements and enhances CPS features which include booking, tracking, schedules and templates. CPS is free to use, so I encourage all of our customers to take advantage of this excellent real-time cargo tool,” Friedel added.
