Asiana Airlines, Korea’s second biggest carrier, has launched an once-weekly freighter service to Moscow’s Domodedovo airport (DME). The airline will operate Boeing 747-400F regular servicesto Vienna via DME on Tuesdays.
Domodedovo is one of the largest transport hubs with connections to Europe, Siberia and Far East claiming up to 42 percent of total air cargo traffi c in the Moscow area.
The airport’s terminal is one of the largest facilities in Russia, which handles up to 166,000 tonnes of cargo annually with further increases expected in the next few years. The terminal facilities also allow handling of special and dangerous cargo.
