China Postal Airlines has relocated its operational base from Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport to Nanjing Lukou Airport, according to a Logistics Week report.
The report said that the hub transfer involved moving a fl eet of six B737-300 and two Y8 freighters to the new base, and will bring nearly 40,000 tonnes of cargo to Nanjing airport each year.
The company has also launched new services from Nanjing to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Weifang, Shenyang, Wuhan, Chengdu, Fuzhou, Shenzhen and Xiamen.
The new base offers at least 16 fl ights a day, apart from Mondays when there are four fl ights and 18 fl ights on Sundays with 102 aircraft movements a week. Daily cargo and mail volume is expected to be 100 tonnes.
