Dachser, one of German’s top three logistics service providers, has opened its fi rst Dachser-run warehouse located in Shanghai to provide contract logistics services to customers.

The company has also set up its second Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise, based in Shenzhen (Dachser Shenzhen Co. Ltd.), following its fi rst WFOE (Dachser Shanghai Co. Ltd.) announced last September. "These latest announcements are part of Dachser’s continued investment in China," said Thomas Reuter, managing director of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics. "Asia, in particular Greater China, is a key area of fast growth for Dachser, and a strong focus is being placed on this region in the company’s blueprint of investment for growth.

The company has set aside 1 billion euros worldwide for our ambitious investment programme and the new 3,000 square metre warehouse is a demonstration of that commitment on investing in China for future growth," added Reuter. In China, Dachser has offi ces in Beijing, Chengdu, Dalian, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Tianjin, Xiamen and Zhongshan. Its regional headquarters, Dachser Far East Ltd., is in Hong Kong.
