US-based forwarder and logistics provider SEKO said it has launched three dedicated, guaranteed charter fi ghts a week from Hong Kong to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, with connecting service to final destinations. The air cargo agreement was prompted by an anticipated increase in total supply chain management demands during the approaching peak shipping season.
In addition to the three dedicated fl ights from Hong Kong, Seko also handles the pick-ups in Hong Kong, transportation to the departure airport, customs brokerage and clearance operations, pick-up at O’Hare Airport and fi nal distribution to the consignee through its network of locally owned offices.
Seko, which has nine offices in China and carries out a signifi cant segment of its business in the Asian Pacifi c Rim area, said the new fl ights were implemented primarily to augment customers’ distribution systems during the upcoming peak shipping season but will be continued as long as demand exists.
