Abu Dhabi airport has reported a 34 per cent increase in cargo traffi c in the fi rst half of 2007, compared with the same period in 2006. Cargo volumes reached 149,210 tonnes in the six-month period. Aircraft movements increased seven per cent to 39,300. Offi cials said growth at the airport was being driven by the rapid expansion of home carrier Etihad Airways.
