Integrated Distribution Services (IDS), an integrated-distribution and logistics services provider in Asia, reported a growth in net profi t of 93.1 percent in the fi rst half of the year. The Li & Fung Group company registered a solid profi t of $16.49 million in the fi rst six months, with revenue for the period driven mainly by strong China growth and the acquisition of a US logistics business in November 2006.

Revenue grew 24.8 percent to $583.15 million.IDS also recorded a one-off gain of $11.3 million from the divestment of a 17.5 percent share in Slumberland Asia Pacifi c. Excluding one-off items, core operating profi t registered a 24.4 percent growth to $10.68 million in the first half.
