China’s national logistics trade value rose 25.5 percent in the fi rst half to 33.8 trillion yuan (US$4.4 trillion), representing a growth of 1.7 percent faster than that recorded in the fi rst quarter, Xinhua reported.
According to the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing’s January to June statistics, industrial logistics value jumped by 27.4 percent to 29.8 trillion yuan, growing 2.2 percent faster than it did in the fi rst quarter.
Import logistics value went up 13.6 percent to 3.4 trillion yuan, growing 0.5 percent slower than in the fi rst quarter. Slower growth was said to result from changes in the exchange rate. Agricultural logistics value rose 14.3 percent. Recycled resources logistics value rose 17.5 percent.
China’s national logistics spending also went up 16.2 percent to 1.95 trillion yuan. The growth was 0.9 percentage point faster than it had been the fi rst quarter and 1.3 percent faster than it was in the fi rst half of 2006.
