Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) said cumulative tonnage from January to July 2007 was 1,427,190 tonnes, slightly up 1.8 percent compared with the same period last year.

The continual tonnage growth starting from the second quarter was primarily attributed to increases in export volume and transshipment volume.

Aggregate export volume for the fi rst seven months was 789,189 tonnes, up 1.3 percent compared with the same period last year. Total transshipment volume for the fi rst seven months was 251,748 tonnes, up 9.8 percent against the same period last year. Import volume for the fi rst seven months was 386,253 tonnes, down 2.1 percent year-on-year for the period.
