Sharjah International Airport has confi rmed its participation in Air Cargo India 2008, the second edition of this biennial international networking conference, which is being organised by STAT Times at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai from January 23-25, 2008.
Ali Salem Al Midfa, director, Sharjah Airport Authority said the main reason to attend the event in Mumbai was to enhance our trade relations with India and to showcase our expertise in the air cargo community. Sharjah has been registering a steady increase in its external trade and India was its single largest trading partner in 2006 with 33.3 percent share in the Emirates external trade.
Sharjah airport’s strategic location with close proximity to major UAE airports and sea ports in the east coast and 120 kms to the west coast of the UAE, is an added advantage for its export, import and industrial establishment.
