Air New Zealand’s annual results are expected to reveal whether provision has been made for possible fi nes related to air-freight price fi xing.

Qantas has set aside US$40 million, following investigations by authorities in the US into collusion on cargo prices by airlines, including Qantas and Air New Zealand. Qantas says it’s possible US competition laws were breached. The Importers Institute says Air New Zealand should also make provision for any fines.
