The postal agency said the new service had been jointly developed with Hong Kong based carrier Cathay Pacific Cargo and RPX Limited to off er customers “a personified speedy courier solution for delivery of their highly timesensitive items”.
“Through this business collaboration with Cathay Pacific Cargo and RPX, the Speedpost Next Flight Out service marks a breakthrough that improves the existing delivery standard and enhances the service features of Speedpost,” said Hong Kong Postmaster General Tam Wing-pong.
Hongkong Post said the NFO service was now available to designated areas including the Asian cities of Singapore, Taipei, Manila, Penang and Kuala Lumpur, and three European cities – Paris, Amsterdam and London.
Items posted under ‘Next Flight Out’ would be put on the earliest flight available. “Addressees can expect to receive their urgent items in major Asian cities by night time of the posting day at the earliest, and in the major European cities on the next day. Upon successful delivery, the customer will receive an SMS message to confirm the delivery status,” added Hongkong Post.
