Wallenborn Transports, a leading European supplier of logistics in road feeder transportations, air cargo distribution and related services with home base in Luxembourg has acquired Amsterdam-based air cargo distribution specialist, Rutges Cargo. Rutges Cargo, which provides logistics for road transport and warehousing for the high value and perishable cargo sectors, has a particularly strong position in Northern Europe including the Benelux and UK, Wallenborn said in a statement.

“Rutges is a very well known name in the distribution industry and has a very strong customer base and distribution capability,” said Frantz Wallenborn, president of the Wallenborn group. “We will strengthen our position in Benelux and Western Europe and particularly in the UK, which will become an important market for us.”

Wallenborn earlier this month acquired Haugsted AirCargo Services to strengthen its position in Scandinavia as a leading supplier of road feeder transportation and warehousing logistics there.
