DHL announced that its freight forwarding division DHL Global Forwarding has signed a security partnership with Air India-SATS, Bengaluru, the cargo terminal operator at the Bangalore international airport. According to the agreement DHL Global Forwarding will work together with Air India-SATS on standard operating procedures (SOP) for high-value and high-risk air cargo, to share best practices and information on crime trends.

“To ensure fool-proof security in the supply chain, it is imperative for all concerned to promote collaboration, open communication and best practices,” DHL Lemuir Logistics chief executive Christoph Remund said in the statement.

Air India-SATS is a joint venture company between National Aviation Company of India (NACIL) which is branded Air India now and Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS).
