DHL Supply Chain has opened its new four hectare (40,000 square meters), Php40 million (US$850,000) DHL Logistics Center in Parañaque City in the Philippines. One of the largest DHL Supply Chain facilities in the Philippines, the multi-user facility has been custombuilt to suit the needs of key industries, boost DHL’s market leading position through increased operational efficiency and ability to deliver flexible and optimal supply chain solutions to customers, the company said.

DHL Supply Chain will be developing a multi-user bundling or co-packing area within the facility to address the requirements of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Retail sectors. The facility will also serve the technology and automotive sectors through the spare parts logistics service offering given its central location.

The facility is close to the airport for exporters of technology products, close to the manufacturing zones of South Luzon for domestically fabricated parts and has easy access to the business district of Makati and Taguig which has a high concentration of end-users.

The facility is also ideal for healthcare sector customers since it has an area with compartmentalised rooms designed that provides higher security for high-value products and facilitates ease of installation of temperature- controlled rooms for temperature-sensitive items, DHL added.
