Being sold is the part of DHL Express’ UK business which focuses on ‘day definite’ parcel services. DHL will retain the international ‘time definite’ and ‘same day’ express businesses. It will also continue the ‘DHLitNow’ online business.
Explaining the rationale behind the sale, DHL Express CEO, Ken Allen, said the agreement “allows us to concentrate our resources on further growing the profitable express businessesâ€Â.
The announcement comes just weeks after DHL said it was selling its French domestic parcels business.
