Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has announced that it has been selected by Sideral Air Cargo of Brazil to provide one B737-300SF 9 Pallet Configuration Passenger to Freighter Conversion. The aircraft, a B737-300, was built in 1988 and is currently undergoing freighter modification and heavy maintenance at AEI’s Authorised Conversion Centre, Commercial Jet, Inc. which is located in Miami, Florida.

“We felt that the nine position design will give Sideral Air Cargo an advantage over our competition and allow us to better serve our customers,” said Sideral’s marketing manager for air cargo, Christian Pegoraro. This unique configuration has been designed by AEI to allow their customers to maximise the interior volume of the 737-300 by the addition of a ninth ULD position, said AEI.
