Swissport’s cargo handling facility at Copenhagen Airport (CPH), Scandinavia’s busiest airport, will begin operating on 1 July, becoming Swissport’s first cargo station in the Nordics. Swissport will offer the full range of cargo handling services in Denmark, and is also looking to expand further in the region.
The agreement with Swiss WorldCargo is an expansion of the already wellestablished global cooperation between the two organisations. Swissport has also already signed a number of contracts with other airlines to begin cargo handling in Copenhagen during the second half of 2012.
Nils Pries Knudsen, senior VP for Europe within Swissport’s Cargo Services division, commented: “I am extremely pleased to add Copenhagen to our impressive and growing list of cargo handling facilities in Europe and around the world. I would like to offer a big ‘thank you’ to the cargo division of Swiss for entrusting their business once again to Swissport, and we look forward to continuing to build on our partnership and to applying Swissport’s industry-leading processes and expertise to Swiss and other airlines in Copenhagen, and across Denmark and the region as a whole.”
