Australia Post has announced that it will deliver parcels on Saturdays and extend guaranteed next day Express Post letter and satchel delivery to households six days a week from the end of 2014. In addition, Australia Post corporate outlets will also open on Saturdays across Australia.

Meanwhile Amazon has announced that customers in 15 US cities are eligible for Sunday delivery in addition to the Los Angeles and New York metro areas where Sunday delivery launched in November 2013.

Since Sunday delivery launched, millions of packages have been delivered on Sunday to Amazon customers and Amazon and the US Postal Service plan to continue to roll out Sunday delivery to a large portion of the US population throughout 2014.
