MAG Property and Stoford have jointly submitted a planning application for a 260,000 sq ft logistics unit at Airport City Manchester, the enterprise zone development adjacent to the airport’s existing cargo centre. Stoford is working on behalf of an international investor to develop an 11-acre plot at Airport City South to create the logistics hub.
Lynda Shillaw, MAG’s Divisional Property CEO, said: “In response to growing market demand for logistics and industrial property, we are progressing this development with Stoford by submitting an outline planning permission for the site at Airport City South. We will provide specific details about the development in due course.”
The US$156.26 million logistics hub is expected to create 1,800 jobs by expanding Manchester Airport’s freight terminal.
