In May 2015, Singapore Airlines overall cargo load factor (CLF) was 1.3 percentage points lower at 61.6 per cent as cargo traffic (measured in freight-tonne-kilometres) declined 1.0 per cent to 531.2 million tonne-km against 1.0 per cent growth in capacity to 862.1 million tonne-km. Load factor improved for East Asia (51.7 per cent, up 0.5 percentage points) and South West Pacific (61.2 per cent, up 7.3 percentage points) regions, but fell for Americas (down 3.8 percentage points to 62 per cent), Europe (down 8.9 percentage points to 70.5 per cent) and West Asia/ Africa (down 0.6 percentage points to 67.7 per cent), as demand did not keep pace with capacity changes.
