Thai Lion Air, the no-frills offshoot of Indonesia’s Lion airline group is planning to commence international operations this August with flights from its Bangkok (Don Mueang airport) hub to Singapore.
The carrier is said to be planning flights to two Chinese cities, including Taiyuan and another unspecified destination out of Chiang Rai, both later this year. Scheduled flights to Japan are planned to start toward the end of next year, said Nas Wongteerathaweeporn, TLA’s ground handling manager according to the Bangkok Post.
