The CAL Group announced today an organisational change in their ground operations structure. This change will strengthen and improve the service offered by CAL as a group to its customers globally, the company said. Liege Airport is currently the operational centre of gravity of the group and will be further strengthened once new routes are established.
Yossi Shoukroun, previously GM of Liege Air Cargo Handling Services (LACHS) has been promoted to CAL Group COO – a new position. Rami Marom will be stepping down after nine years as VP ground operations and COO of CAL Cargo Airlines.
“Our strategy of growth dictates that we take a more global approach”, said Eyal Zagagi, CEO of CAL group. “We are focusing on adding new routes, with Liege at the center of this activity. Bringing on a global operations manager in Liege will help us establish the infrastructure necessary to support this strategy.””I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rami, who has devoted many years to CAL,” continued Zagagi.
“His contribution to CAL over the past 11 years is immeasurable. His dedication, professionalism and caring approach are second to none and I have no doubt that no matter where he turns, those traits will serve him well.”
“I am pleased that we were able to identify someone within the CAL group with the abilities, skills and experience to take on the challenge of global operations for the entire group. The group’s management and I are confident that Yossi will succeed in his new role,” Zagagi added.
Responsible for the ground operations of both CAL Cargo Airlines and LACHS ground handling services in Liege, the transition will take place over the month of July.
