In August 2015, Singapore Airlines Cargo registered a cargo load factor (CLF) 1.8 percentage points lower than the same period a year earlier as cargo traffic (measured in freight-tonnekilometres) declined 0.1 per cent to 520,300 FTK against capacity growth of 3.0 per cent.
Load factors improved for South West Pacifi c and West Asia & Africa as demand outpaced capacity change, the carrier said with growth of 2.3 and 0.4 percentage points respectively. Load factors were down in East Asia (-1.2 percentage points), Europe (-4.2 percentage points) and Americas (-5.0 percentage points).
Overall for the month SIA Cargo carried 93,900 tonnes of cargo. Meanwhile, SIA saw its passenger load factor rise 2.5 percentage points to 85.6 per cent.
