CSafe Global and China Airlines have signed a Master Lease Agreement to offer transport and leasing services for the CSafe RKN active temperature controlled container on China Airlines flights.
“We are pleased to sign this new master lease agreement with CSafe Global” said China Airlines in a statement. “Our healthcare and pharmaceutical customers who require strict temperature control of their products during transport will benefit from access to CSafe’s industry-leading cold chain technology and global customer support.”
Brad Jennings, VP of Global Marketing at CSafe Global adds, “With 97 destinations in 27 countries, China Airlines has a comprehensive network serving pharmaceutical companies around the world. CSafe and our customers are very excited about the addition of China Airlines to our airline partner network and look forward to a fruitful and long-term collaboration.
The CSafe RKN active temperature-controlled system was specifically developed for the life-sciences, pharmaceutical, and healthcare industries, and is the only compressor-driven air cargo container of its kind with approvals to fly on either upper deck or lower deck of aircraft.
The superior performance of the CSafe RKN can be attributed to the thermal capabilities of its ThermoCor insulation which provides extended operating efficiencies, as well as to the unit’s proprietary air movement, heating, and cooling technologies that allow the temperature-controlled container to maintain a consistent user-selected payload set-point across ambient temperatures as extreme as -30 degrees Celsius up to +49 degrees Celsius. The operating efficiency of the active unit allows for a full payload to be shipped inside the container without the need for secondary packaging. This makes the CSafe RKN a cost-effective solution compared to dry ice and other passive solutions. The container’s best-in-class active system performance, data logging capabilities, and ease of use make it a very good selection for inclusion in a pharmaceutical company’s standard operating procedures for air-cargo transportation of valuable life-science products.
