The Payload Asia Awards is back in 2020 as it recognises the most outstanding companies in the air cargo industry. Slated in November 2020 in Manila, Philippines, the awarding puts the spotlight on the air cargo supply chain companies that are the best in the business as they rise above the challenging global air freight market.

This year’s Payload Asia Awards puts the spotlight on the services that benefit the rising e-commerce market. Judged by an esteemed panel of judges from the industry, this year’s awards consist of 15 categories, namely:

1. Best E-Commerce Solution Provider
   E-commerce solutions are the products and services that help a company conduct business electronically. As a result, many e-commerce solutions providers now focus on offering a suite of products and services designed to meet multiple needs and solve various problems. The Provider must show completeness of solution, flexibility, scalability, and regional or global coverage.
2. Best E-Commerce Experience
   Demand a seamless experience across a brand’s entire ecosystem of physical and online touch points. When the online experience doesn’t match what customers expect from the brand, it’s difficult, if not impossible, to convert browsers into buyers. The Provider must show ease of use, transparency, track and trace capability, and responsive interfaces
3. Best E-Commerce Carrier
   When consumers buy they expect high-speed shipping, transparency, reliability, agility, and consistency in the delivery. Air cargo is an essential component of cross-border e-commerce. The search is on for an airline that has transformed to meet the needs of the shippers.
4. Best E-Commerce Freight Forwarder
   A freight forwarder is a person or company that organizes shipments for individuals or corporations to get goods from the manufacturer to the final point of distribution. Here we are looking for an agent/individual who provides these services seamlessly including payment, tracking, packaging to delivery.
5. Global Express Provider of the Year
   This integrated service provider is a for-hire firm that performs a variety of logistics service activities such as warehousing, transportation, and other functional activities that constitute a total service package. The winner has to have a firm understanding of their customers’ needs and is responsible for executing services in accordance with contract documents.
6. Global Logistics Provider of the Year
   A company that provides management over the flow of goods and materials between points of origin to end-use destinations. The winner often handles shipping, inventory, warehousing, and packaging and security functions for shipments as a complete wrap-up.
7. Regional Logistics Provider of the Year
   A company that provides management over the flow of goods and materials between points of origin to end-use destinations within a region. The winner often handles shipping, inventory, warehousing, and packaging and security functions for shipments as a complete wrap up in that region.
8. IT Provider of the Year
   A service provider is a vendor that provides IT solutions to organizations. This broad term incorporates all IT businesses that provide products and solutions through the service. The winner is a proven expert providing seamless service to the air cargo and logistics industry.
9. Leasing Provider of the Year
   A leasing company provides a physical asset or service for use by a commercial client for an established period of time in return for regular payments. We are looking for an outstanding leaser who can prove his credentials are the best.
10. Asia Pacific Airport of the Year
    This airport stands out beyond the rest in APAC because it has the amenities; passenger/cargo focused planning and seamless movement within the airport.
11. European Airport of the Year
    This airport stands out beyond the rest in Europe because it has the amenities; passenger/cargo focused planning and seamless movement within the airport.
12. Ground Handler of the Year
    Ground handling is an integral part of airline operations. IATA strives to lead the industry towards improved safety and operational efficiency in ground handling. Here we are looking for an organisation that manages all aspects of ground handling above others.
13. Low-Cost Carrier of the Year
    There are many low-cost carriers globally but the winner provides much more for much less for customer satisfaction.
14. Belly Carrier of the Year
    Belly cargo is freight that is stored under the main deck of an airplane. Some carriers have performed far above the rest in terms of carrying full belly. The winner is an outstanding regular performer.
15. Overall Carrier of the Year
    This is a significant award for an air cargo carrier that has gone the extra mile fulfilling more than its obligation.
