After several postponements due to the dynamic market situation, Austrian Airlines will once again fly to Shanghai from 2 October, a press release confirmed.
A Boeing 767 will fly from Vienna to Shanghai every Friday, with a return flight scheduled the following Sunday. Further connections to China are a conceivable option for Austrian Airlines.
“We are very pleased to be able to return to China with regular passenger flights,” says Austrian Airlines board member Andreas Otto. “A second weekly flight to Shanghai is on our wish list.”
Austrian Airlines’ long-haul portfolio is expanding to include another destination. In addition to Shanghai, Austria’s home carrier already flies to Chicago, New York and Washington, amongst others.
Passengers can find up-to-date information on the company website for travelling in times of corona, flight schedules, mask requirement or rebooking regulations. Updated on an ongoing basis, information also includes current entry regulations for respective destinations.
