Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific on 15 December launched a new website to strengthen advocacy efforts in support of its regional airport member base. Sporting a fresh visual identity, the new website prominently features news and perspectives from its airport members and World Business Partners and highlights the advocacy areas most needed for the future development and prosperity of the region.
“2020 has been a turning point for the association, which celebrated its 15th anniversary this year. The change in the sector, dramatically accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, requires lean and timely communications and user-friendly access to information,” said Stefano Baronci, director general, ACI Asia-Pacific.
“Our new website has the ambition to be a virtual hub not only for the 600+ airports operated by our members and 90+ World Business Partners but also for a broader community, including policy makers, industry stakeholders, journalists, researchers and parties interested in the airport business and the passenger experience,” he added.
Key elements of the new website include:
- Thematic pages on economics, environment, facilitation, human resources, information technology, safety and security
- A new Perspectives section dedicated to sharing views on industry trends, developments, insights and challenges for and by airport members and World Business partners
- A digital airport and associate member directory for ease of finding information on the association’s members and the airports they operate
- A World Business Partner capability database, an open-access database to facilitate an airports’ procurement and technical specialists with sourcing and tendering activities
“The launch of the new website marks a key milestone of the digital transformation of our member engagement and growing presence on social media,” concluded Baronci.
