As a step forward in the company’s digital transformation, logistics giant Kuehne+Nagel has launched ePortalChina, the latest air freight digital offering for a seamless invoicing and payment experience.
The portal allows both individual and company account registrations, enabling Chinese customers to collaborate among co-workers and suppliers whilst managing their air freight shipments without the tedious paperwork and e-mails.
Developed specifically for the Chinese market, ePortalChina addresses unique local challenges, including online generation of the government uniform invoice (e-GUI).

Customers can pay invoices through the digital portal via web browser or WeChat with access to a large number of Chinese banks. Bank transfers made via the platform have a clear reference to the corresponding shipments, reducing customers’ workload on payment reconciliation, the press release read.
“With ePortalChina, customers who prefer the convenience of WeChat can manage their air freight shipment via their smartphones, enjoying full flexibility and visibility. It also addresses the long-time bottleneck of e-invoicing and online payment for b2b transactions,” said jack liu, senior vice president for Kuehne+Nagel Asia Pacific, Air Logistics.
The ePortalChina tool is now available for Air Logistics services and will eventually be expanded to Sea Logistics and other transportation modes.
