HAECO supports MSC Air with line maintenance services in Hong Kong

March 20, 2025 by PLA Editor

HAECO, a leading global aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services provider, is pleased to announce a new line maintenance agreement with MSC Air S.p.A. (“MSC Air”). MSC Air is the Milan-based freight carrier that now operates under the holding company, MSC Air Cargo. Under this agreement, HAECO will provide MSC Air with comprehensive line maintenance services for its new fleet of Boeing 777-200LRF freighter aircraft at Hong Kong International Airport, the busiest cargo airport in the world.

With nearly 75 years of acclaimed MRO expertise and a stellar reputation for safety and quality, HAECO is uniquely positioned to support the operational performance of MSC Air’s expanding fleet. HAECO’s line maintenance solutions at its Hong Kong base will be a robust foundation as MSC Air grows its cargo network and services under the MSC Air Cargo umbrella.

“We are thrilled to partner with MSC Air as their line maintenance provider in the strategic location of Hong Kong, the world’s busiest cargo hub,” said Gerald Steinhoff, Chief Commercial Officer at HAECO. “By leveraging HAECO’s industry-leading capabilities and expansive line services footprint both in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, we look forward to becoming a trusted partner to MSC Air as they continue to expand their competitive cargo solutions.”

“We are pleased to partner with HAECO for our line maintenance requirements in Hong Kong,” said Giacomo Manzon, MSC Air CEO. “Access to HAECO’s world-class maintenance services at this strategic gateway is essential to maintaining our operational reliability and service quality. Their industry-leading expertise and comprehensive technical capabilities make them an ideal partner to support our freighter operations and uphold our standards of operational excellence in this key market.”

HAECO is one of the leading global providers of line maintenance services with a full range of high-quality line maintenance, cabin, and AOG recovery solutions through its facilities in Hong Kong and key locations across the Chinese Mainland. HAECO supports over 140 airlines and handles approximately 200,000 aircraft movements annually.
