Bahrain-headquartered cargo airline MENA Cargo has partnered with Awery Aviation Software to streamline operations across its scheduled and charter services.
The two signed a deal at Dubai’s airshow in November for the use of Awery’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) product and its cargo booking tool.
Awery ERP is a web-based, customisable platform, which MENA Cargo will initially use for flight and crew operations, and charter sales management. Meanwhile, the cargo booking tool delivers instant quotes and manages bookings, with full application programming interface (API) integration.

“We are confident that this is just the beginning of a really strong and successful partnership with MENA Cargo, and we are grateful for the opportunity,” said Vitaly Smilianets, founder and chief executive officer, Awery Aviation Software.
Awery’s cargo booking platform can read different types of content, including email, text, and image and convert them into instant air cargo quotes using standard data formats such as JSON and IATA ONE Record. The information is carried through to bookings, payments, and track and trace services.
It works by analysing the content of an email to identify the key elements needed for a quote, from customer details to cargo information, including origin, designation, number of pieces, gross weight and piece dimensions, commodity, Special Handling Codes and shipment-ready date.
Users can then review possible routes and prices, select options for the end-customer quote, check capacity, and review prices. Once the information is selected, the end-customer receives a quote offer email with the contents of the original request now in standard format.
MENA Cargo provides scheduled and charter air cargo services across underserved markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The airline said it will be rolling out the solutions over the coming months.
