China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) has been selected by Hong Kong’s newest airline operator Greater Bay Airlines to provide line maintenance and ground handling services at Hong Kong International Airport for its entire fleet.
CASL will provide 24/7 aircraft line maintenance support, including transit services, scheduled checks and ground support equipment services. Riding engineer services will also be provided to the airline to release aircraft into service for its entire Boeing 737-800 fleet.
Greater Bay Airlines plans to have seven of the narrow-body type in service by 2022 and more than 30 by 2026, with plans to start operations in the fourth quarter this year with two Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft. The new airline will offer passenger and air freight services to provide better connectivity to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region. Applications are underway to operate a total of 104 destinations in China and the rest of Asia, the airline noted on its website.
